What are Marine Mammals?
Marine Mammals are a group of animals that are warm-blooded invertebrates, that live in marine ecosystems. These species are characterised by warm-blooded, breathing air, giving birth to live off-spring, and feeding with milk. Marine mammals play an important role in marine ecosystems, often predatory hunters at the top of the food chain, helping control populations of fish.
