Why does your snorkel Mask Fog up

Your snorkel mask mists up because of condensation. The water is colder than your face which causes the condensation inside the lens of the snorkel mask. This can be irritating when snorkelling and disrupt your visibility.

1. Saliva

Start by rubbing your saliva in and around the inside of your snorkel mask. Once complete, rinse in the water. Leave to dry and filter off for a minute and then put on. That should be natural way to stop your mask visor from misting up.

2. Baby Shampoo

Believe it or not, baby shampoo can create a good film around the inside lens and stop your mask from fogging up. Take a small amount of shampoo, rub around the inside of the mask, rinse out with water, and you’re good to go. Be careful not to have left over shampoo in the mask as you don’t want it getting in your eyes!
