The 45-meter tall statue was unveiled in 2007 as a symbol of peace and serenity. The landmark doesn’t have an entrance fee and is free for the general public to enter. How to get there?

The easiest way to get to the statue is by hiring a car, taxi, Grab, or indrive transfer to the top of the hill. It is steep and trying to take a moped up to the top is not possible, also it is a bit of a trek. There is a hiking option that takes approximately 45 minutes, but can be tough in the heat, especially if you decide to descend.

Cost?

It is free to enter the religious statue landmark, with the option to give donations at points around the site.

Dress Code?

There is a dress code, no beach wear, covered shoulders, and very short shorts. If you aren’t dressed to the requirements to enter the temple, you will be given a blanket to cover up. Stewards would occasionally blow a whistle and direct people to cover up whilst in the temple. But this is a very popular tourist destination, so dress sensibly and you’ll be fine.
